What is Coaching?
Coaching is a process in which a trusted advisor listens, helps you gain perspective and supports you in making desired changes.
Why Coaching?
Working with a coach gives you an opportunity to get perspective, find the best options, and select actions to move you forward. A coach provides a safe, objective sounding-board to give you support in clarifying what steps you want to take.
How Does it Work?
Through questions and conversation, a coach helps you clarify your desired direction, make decisions, and take action. You determine the focus of the coaching session, while the coach provides thoughtful questions to elicit insights and guidance.
Is Christine the Right Coach for You?
Christine’s approach is strength-based. Her underlying philosophy is that appreciating strengths and gifts enables individuals to bring out the best in themselves—and others. She tailors her coaching to suit the individuals and the situation, using a flexible approach that does not follow a prescribed formula or series of “exercises,” preferring to adapt the coaching to fit the person.
Her group coaching model for parents gives parents the opportunity to learn from one another and to celebrate the strengths of their children. Christine helps parents to find what’s best within themselves, to release themselves from traps in our approach to education, and to more frequently meet their own ideals as parents.
If you prefer a positive approach—finding and amplifying what’s right, rather than fixing what’s wrong,-- customized to suit you, one that celebrates your children’s strengths—rather than striving to fit them into someone else’s mold, this may be the right coaching approach for you.
Group Coaching
Group coaching provides a cost-effective alternative to individual sessions. Groups of 8 meet on a phone conference for an hour. Each individual has an opportunity for individual coaching and also learns from the experiences of others, in a highly affirming environment.
