Christine Duvivier
Christine is a dynamic speaker, speaking publicly as well as leading workshops with groups of parents, educators and business leaders. Since completing her study of teen gifts and strengths, she has spoken to a growing number of groups--parents, educators and business people-- in cities across the U.S and in Australia. She has been keynote speaker for the Microsoft East Region Women’s Conference and has been a featured speaker for many conferences including the Institute of International Research, Toastmaster’s International, and Executive Enterprises.
Christine earned a master’s degree at University of Pennsylvania in Positive Psychology, the study of human flourishing. She focused her research on the strengths and gifts of teens who are not top students. Her work uncovers exciting opportunities—and damaging myths—in our society’s approach to educating all of our children, both high and low performers. It encourages parents and educators to question our models and understand what will have the greatest positive effect on our children’s lives.
While at the University of Pennsylvania, she was also certified to teach the Penn Resiliency Program, a program that reduces anxiety and depression. In January, 2008 she went to Australia as part of a team that spent two weeks training teachers and administrators at the Geelong boarding school in Positive Psychology and Resilience.
Christine Duvivier has a professional background in leading large-scale change in businesses and non-profit organizations, beginning with her personal experience in leading a 55,000-person worldwide change to increase customer loyalty. She has held executive positions at Digital Equipment Corporation and Center for Quality of Management. She has multinational experience with DuPont, Eli Lilly, Caterpillar, 3M, Chevron, Ford, Xerox, and HP. Christine has taught executive education for 15 years and for the past seven years has led a strategic consulting firm that specializes in coaching executive leaders and their teams.
She holds an MBA with Distinction from Cornell University in addition to her Positive Psychology degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She and her husband, David, are parents of two daughters, a college graduate and a June 2007 Wellesley High School graduate.
Christine has been an active volunteer in CYO and Town Basketball, Girl Scouts, Town Meeting, and community service organizations.
