Christine Duvivier

Christine Duvivier received her master’s in Positive Psychology and post-graduate Resilience training at University of Pennsylvania. While there, she conducted her own research, “Appreciating Beauty in The Bottom 80.” Her study identified strengths and gifts in the bottom 80% of adolescent students, demonstrated how these assets are perfectly suited to life success, and showed that the way we approach education harms both bottom and top students. Finally, Christine provides hope by identifying practices that will bring out the best in every teen.

Requests from Parents, Educators, and Business People prompted Christine to found Positive Leaders, to speak publicly about her study of adolescents [hyperlink on adolescents to study results page] and to provide workshops and coaching that enable participants to apply the findings. Her interest in students who are not at the top of their classes was kindled by some of her own family members – both bottom and top students. While shepherding her daughters through adolescence, she was sometimes frustrated when trying to find resources that could help with issues they faced. As a result of stumbling upon little-known, but highly valuable books and experts, she became a resource herself-- for other parents and educators.

Julie Ambrosino joined forces with Christine in 2007, after closing her own business and spending a few years at home with her family. Julie was prompted to work with Positive Leaders by her desire to help other parents find resources they can turn to as they guide their teens through challenging, but rewarding years.
